- Execute commercial and industrial electrical installations to code.
- Perform service work, retrofits and generator tie-ins on live telecom and utility sites.
- Sign off on electrical permits and completed work.
- Mentor indentured apprentices on site.
REQUIREMENTS
- Alberta Journeyman Certificate of Qualification (Electrical).
- Class 5 driver's licence with clean abstract.
- Standard first aid and CSTS-2020.
- Experience with industrial or telecommunications power systems is an asset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist journeymen with industrial rough-ins, cable pulls, and panel installations.
- Support site electrical, LED retrofits, and streetlight projects.
- Maintain safe work environments and organize material on site.
- Participate in daily pre-job hazard assessments.
REQUIREMENTS
- Registered/indentured electrical apprentice in Alberta.
- Class 5 driver's licence.
- CSTS-2020 and standard first aid.
- Ability to work year-round in varying weather conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform fusion splicing for FTTH, campus and carrier backbone deployments.
- Execute OTDR and power-meter testing to verify span integrity.
- Prepare and deliver structured splice schedules and trace documentation.
- Ensure proper slack storage and cable handling within enclosures.
REQUIREMENTS
- FOA certification or manufacturer-equivalent training.
- Proven experience with fusion splicing and fiber handling.
- CSTS-2020 and standard first aid.
- Class 5 driver's licence with clean abstract.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and steer Ditch Witch JT-class directional drills under municipal and industrial infrastructure.
- Track bore heads for pitch, roll and depth to maintain minimum cover requirements.
- Mix, manage and recycle drilling fluid on site.
- Document bore logs and as-built depth profiles.
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated experience operating HDD rigs or walk-over locating.
- Ground Disturbance (Level II) and CSTS-2020.
- Class 3 or Class 1 driver's licence with clean abstract is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with tracking utility offsets and interpreting locates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform non-destructive excavation and daylighting around live, high-voltage and high-pressure utilities.
- Support civil and HDD crews on municipal and remote lease sites.
- Manage on-site water temperatures and spoil disposal safely.
- Complete daily safety paperwork and exposure depth logs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Class 3 or Class 1 driver's licence with clean abstract.
- Ground Disturbance (Level II), H2S Alive and CSTS-2020.
- Experience operating hydrovac units in sub-zero winter conditions.
- Commitment to working safely within utility tolerance zones.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise trenching, conduit placement and backfill operations on civil utility sites.
- Coordinate daily pre-job hazard assessments and enforce site safety protocols.
- Ensure lift compaction, trench shoring, and municipal surface restoration standards are met.
- Record field quantities and prepare documentation for accurate as-builts.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in underground civil utilities.
- Ground Disturbance (Level II), standard first aid and CSTS-2020.
- Proven ability to read and execute against engineered drawings.
- Strong understanding of utility coordination and potholing requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with open-cut trenching, innerduct placement and precast vault installations.
- Operate compaction equipment and support site restoration (asphalt, concrete, sod).
- Act as a dedicated spotter for heavy equipment and hydrovac units.
- Maintain clear and secure work zones with appropriate traffic control.
REQUIREMENTS
- CSTS-2020 certification.
- Willingness to perform physical labor in all weather conditions, year-round.
- Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation to site.
- CSA-approved PPE.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support estimators with material take-offs, permit applications and utility coordination.
- Compile as-built documentation, test results and handover packages for client submission.
- Track project schedules, daily field reports, and equipment mobilizations.
- Interface between field superintendents and clients to resolve site queries.
REQUIREMENTS
- Technical diploma in construction management, civil engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and technical communication skills.
- Familiarity with reading utility prints or engineered plans is an asset.
